:DOkay, I decided to send a 7 year letter to Transunion for an HSBC account opened in 12/2005 and a DOFD date of 08/2006 (lost job)...Surprisingly, TU deleted it! However, HSBC sold this debt to Portfolio Recovery Associates and they have tried to collect on it ever since. (I have some other threads opened pertaining to this.) My question is this, do I have any leverage now with TU to remove the collection account from Portfolio on my CR with TU? Technically, Portfolio is collecting an account that does not exist on my TU CR. What do you think? |

Well, technically it can keep bouncing around from CA to CA and each one can report it until that 7 year mark is up.. even if you were able to get the OC removed. But you can ALWAYS dispute the CA. I would. Good job on getting HSBC off! That's great news! :2thumbsup: |
