We got my husbands credit reports and there was incorrect info on it that we wanted deleted. One thing was an address, which was a PO box that we never had. We asked them to delete it along with several other things that were incorrect. They sent us papers saying they had put a fraud alert on his reports and it would stay on for 90 days. They also had the other 2 reporting agencies do the same thing. We never asked them to put the fraud alert on his report. They now want us to send in any fraud reports that we have made with police depts, which we have never made. Does anyone know why this happened?

1.) This is a Success Story section. ha. 2.) I don't know why that happened. That seems odd. BUT.. 3.) I would write to all 3 credit bureaus stating that you are not concerned with fraud on any of your accounts or personal information. You had simply requested removal of wrong data on your credit reports and ask for the fraud alert to be removed since you did not report any sort of fraud activity to begin with. I know CM is expensive, but I don't know - I think on something like this, I'd send it CM. (and also request investigation on other items that are inaccurate as well) |
