12 Hard Inquiries Deleted by EQ!!!

I disputed them online yesterday .... today I was sent confirmation by email that all 12 have been deleted!!! Woo Hoo!! Thanks guys for the information on this site!

awesome! probably a dumb question, but whats the difference between a hard inquiry and a "regular" inquiry? also, how much do you think it boosts a score by removing 12 hard inquiries? thats amazing!

I guess a "hard" inquiry just plainly means that it counts against your credit score ... as to how much? I have no idea! Maybe Trish can elaborate a little more on this topic as I am still new to this as well.

One or two hard inquires are OK,Its when you have 5or 6 they start thinking you have credit problems,that's when the scores start dropping 5 or 10 points per inquiry.

When you disputed online what reason did you give them to have items deleted ?

Where do you submit an online dispute about old addresses and inquires? I cannot find out where to do this.

A hard inquiry can be seen by anyone that pulls your CR.......and yes, too many hard inquiries can impact your score.
A soft inquiry can only be seen by you and does not impact your score at all.

Nitro - I just disputed by saying I did not authorize the inquiry.
Jemelton - You can dispute online through the EQ website. If you have been denied credit or are possibly a victim of ID theft/fraud.......you can get a free report.

I too used the same for the inquiry deletes - I did not authorize them!!

Now I'm working on the CO's w/ the 1-2 punch .... keeping my fingers crossed!! :D
