Default Credit Score Increases!

OMG!!

So... I had our mortgage broker pull our credit. I couldn't wait and we need to refinance soon. Well, all my hard work and help from this board paid off!!

In feb. our scores were...
611,660,626 & 570,617,635 - so basically mid score of 632 & 607.

Now...3 months later.. they are.....

....
....
....
ready??

ha. j/k - I'm just sooo thrilled today!

they are... 673,677,675 & 623,665,616

now mid scores of 675 and 634 !!!!!

MUCH better! Not perfect, I know - I would prefer 700's, BUT considering I was worried and had no idea if it was better or worse, I'm more than thrilled. And even on tougher loans, they tend to want 640 or higher sometimes even 680, but we are closer and hope to close deal within a month.

Just thought I'd share, because it can be done!! The mid scores going up 40 points in 3 months is dang good I think! (I'm soo proud :o)

Thanks to Trish and ALL of everyone's posts and suggestions.

ya know - I guess I typed mid-score wrong. Honestly I thought they averaged all "3" scores to get mid score. I never realized that they just take the middle of all scores and primarily use that.

anyway, it is still goooood!

thank you everyone! your help is much appreciated. And I will break 700's one of these months, maybe by end of year (?) so we can start a 700 club! :D

Much has changed since my original post - which brings me back here.

I don't know exactly what my scores are right now, but they are low. I have some mortgage lates, which is bad and then medical collections that have no mercy and/or didn't contact me first, just report! And old collections (also medical) that just won't go away no matter how much I dispute.

Anyway, my mortgage lates - oddly - helped save our home! So, I can't complain. Long story.

But, now I'm trying to revive our credit and it seems to be difficult this time around. I've disputed and most want more proof and/or just verify. No more easy deletes!? anyone else experiencing this?

I have a past b/k (7 years past) and still can't get that deleted! ugh. Wish I could!

Yea, that's how it usually is. It won't be easy from here on out, you just gotta keep persisting and/or try new tactics.

Good job. Are you not using a monitoring service? If you monitor it yourself the inquiries wont ding you.
