Thanks for the help.

I now have a question about removing judgements, it says in that thread that you should send all the letters CM. Does this also include the letter to the courthouse where the judgement was filed? Also, when addressing that letter can I just address it to the courthouse or should I put a title on it to be directed to the right person that can respond?

thanks

You don't have to send it CM to the courthouse........but I always like to so that I can track it and have proof if I need it.

You should send it attn to the clerk's office.

p.s....... Nixer, since this is pertaining to judgments, I have moved it to the public records section. I also went ahead and pinned the judgment thread just so it's easier for everyone to find.

So I recieved a letter back from the court. here is what I said:

I recently learned of a judgemnt filed with Apple Valley. There are many inaccuracies and they told me they have verified with the courthouse. I would like to know your procedures for verifying this information with credit reporting agaencies. The information on this credit report is is inaccurate and damaging to my file. I have enclosed a self addressed stamped envelope for your response. ..................

They responed handwritten on the bottom of my letter with:
We have prublic computers. You can come in and research files under your name. If they are located in Apple Valley we can pull the files for you to review.(they sent me back my SASE and didnt even use it!)

What should I do now. That response is not going to help me. Should I send another letter to them with different wording? I am guessing its going to need to be a letter under thier letterhead.

any sugestions?

thanks

omg.............a moron opened your letter.

You should send that letter back to them..........with an additional letter stating that is NOT what you were asking.........and that you would like to know HOW they verify records with the CRAs.
