Default Judgement from a landlord?

How the heck do I go about disputing a judgment that is in place by someone who I rented a home from?! The whole amount isnt even mine! There were 3 other people on the lease, but the judgement against me, is for the whole amount.

I requested a dispute with the court house but they told me they dont provide the info and I would have to go there and make copies.

What do I do now?!

The same way you do with everything else - just dispute it. They don't care about your story.

"Please provide evidence that the following account belongs on my report and that my rights have not been abrogated." is all you need to say.

I understand that. but the part im concerned with, is

"I requested a dispute with the court house but they told me they dont provide the info"

so who the heck do i dispute with now? the original creditor is just a person. he didnt place the judgement, the courthouse did.

Did you request in person they don't don't do mail or fax.Since it is a public record you have to go in person. And if you didn't go to court they got a default judgement.I would talk to an attorney

I'm assuming that you haven't been served court papers if you were it was sent to your old address which is pretty common with landlords which means that you wouldn't know. Now it turns from civil to criminal on the basis he knew you didn't live there.I would check with the court house and see if there's any judgments entered in your name and go from there.

Someone got a judgment on you and you need to find out when You can only get a judgement if you win in court. You need to really investigate this with the courts.
