I have not heard of anyone disputing things with Lexis Nexis or the pacer system (with LN it's almost impossible because they claim they are NOT a CRA  )
If you can get the CRA to actually admit where they get the info (unlikely) then you can go to that source. Otherwise we just have to make the CRAs delete it.

What they say its a public record,BUT is it why does your neighbor need to know about any information on you!Why would somebody 6,000 miles away have a right to that info.If your a convicted felon thats a different because you lose some of your rights when you commit a felony.Other then that they can stay the f out of my business. All we ask as a consumer is to have a level playing field. We don't have it now.We nead a rico type act to force these goons and thugs to get those rates down,There is no reason to keep raising the rates other then greed.

If the CRA is receiving info from Lexis Nexis and Pacer System and they are claiming not to be CRA then what is in it for them. How are they making their money ? Is the CRA paying for the info ? I can not see Lexis Nexis and Pacer System giving up info for free.

I received my results back from TU about the Tax Lien and Release entry which they stated " New Inforamtion " which was Plaintiff: IRS and one now showes Release of Tax Lien. I also received their BS letter on verification.

The letter I received from the County Clerk states " Reg of Deeds is a recording agency only and does not report info to any party. "

So I am in the process of writting TU a letter demanding deletion of the public record(s).

On a good note I had two of the five disputes deleted on my first letters.

Sorry it's taken me so long.
I don't see any sample letters for this but you should put in the letter that it is to be considered a formal complaint because they are reporting inaccurate information. In the letter, include copies of your disputes and their replies........and then also include a copy of your letter from the court stating that if it is not immediately deleted, you will be filing complaints with the appropriate authorities and contacting the CRA's legal dept. Also be sure to stress that your letter is NOT a dispute but a demand for deletion.

Be sure to send it CM and hand write your letter so that it doesn't get dumped in with the pile of dispute letters.
Hopefully that will be the end of it........otherwise you will need to press the issue and write to the legal dept.

Hi,

This is my first post here but I am also having an issue with a state tax lien showing up on my credit report. It is for a penalty from a few years ago where the state claims I lived in a different county under a different name. I wasn't married then and I filed my state taxes and it's been a nightmare ever since. I was contacted by a collection agency a year or so ago that worked with the Attorney General's office. I sent them documentation only to keep receiving statements. I sent it to them a few times. I would respond to their voice mails only to get non returned voice mails. Then, last summer it was turned over to another collection agency that worked for the Attorney General's office. They left me a voice mail which I returned the same day. The lady that answered tried to use the scare tactic but I understand enough about the laws that I have some footing. She would not listen when I tried to explain the situation to her. She just said I had until the end of August to pay or a lien would be placed on my credit report. I never got a statement from them under almost the middle of September. I even specifically asked about a payment address during my conversation with her. Needless to say, I was told I would get a statement. This irked me since I had done what I needed to do on my end yet I kept getting the run around. I left the collection agency a couple of voice mails only to play phone tag with them. I even filed a complaint with my AG's office hoping that would get some sort of resolution. I followed up on the complaint never to hear anything back yet. This has been ongoing for several months and this year they took part of my state tax return to offfset this so called penalty that I owed. I was never informed of the tax lien that was processed back in October of last year. I came to find out about it after I pulled a credit report of mine. I got the papers from the AG's office about the release which I had to pay $30 to my local clerk of courts too. I'm wondering now if that was a mistake because I have been trying to get this cleared up from the get go. I have sent all my proof into these collection agencies and the AG's office only to get nowhere. Should I dispute with the credit bureaus with my information? I just paid last week to my clerk of courts. I also sent another letter to my AG's office but I don't know if it will due any good. Any advice on the next step?
