Default i feel so old, lol

has anyone ever google searched themselves? lol. i've been hearing alot about it (i didn't even know what it meant! i'm 34 and i didn't know what it meant! and you don't even wanna know when i learned what an mp3 player was), so i decided to do it with an id name and see what might come up.

omg, i have never felt more like a dork. just glad i never did those things people are talking about when they say "don't do anything I wouldn't do" cuz man, this was bad enough.

Sigh.

For me, I've decided to try that trendy thing that says "Forty is the new Thirty," "Fifty is the new forty," etc. I'm no mathematical genius, but that puts me right at 24 :D

(and for technical stuff like knowledge of mp3 players, I will just fake it and say I got two of 'em and I will pretend to like High School Musical way more than Grease. See, it's all covered.)

Hey, Hello, Hi,

I got a reply to this thread in my box, and I hadn't realized that it had been 2 years since I'd been here, but I decided to write something back because a positive story gives hope

Well I just wanna say that in my childhood we lived in a bit of a shack that had no bathtub and the shower was rough, gray cement, and there was no door but a curtain, and no real bedroom. And my goal all my life was to buy my own house, like my parents had never been able to do. I had a rocky start, dropped out of school, had kids, etc. and then one day (around the time I came over here, I decided that I could teach myself how to buy a house)

Well I had no credit, and my boyfriend's credit was horrible, so I started reading and coming to places like this to learn (I still don't know much

But, I have to tell you that in the last two years we have not been denied credit we have applied for, we got a car load for 5% interest from a credit union (I was shocked, I only knew of people with 13% or higher at that time) and we actually got to get the car we wanted rather than being directed to one "more in our budget." But mostly... We got our house. We have been living here for a year

So anyway, it takes some time and persistence (and we do have debt we hope to have paid off next year, then there is always the fear of losing a job in this economy, so I cannot call this any happy "ending" by any means), but I wanted to say that:

if you make a goal, you CAN achieve it

Good Luck to you all,

Christina

Default Googling

Personal brand stuff is huge on Google. If anyone is having trouble hiding content that appears about them, Google+, Google's new social network, has a big influence on search rankings.
