Hi Chane - I'm in a little bit of trouble with my credit score and needed your advice/help.
I'm closing on a house in 3 weeks, and my credit score just dropped by 70 points, from 663 to 593. I no longer meet the FHA min of 640 to qualify for the mortgage.
Basically, what happened was about 3.5 years ago I co-signed on a HELOC for my dad. He had it setup with an automatic debit through his checking account, so he would never be late. Last year, around September/October he filed for bankruptcy, but, he still intended on making the payments, and Citibank still debited his account. January 2011, they canceled the automatic debit, which caused him to have a late payment. He was out of the country, so he didn't see it until he got back.
I need to raise my score by 50 points and fast. Do you have any ideas as to what I can do? I just signed up for all 3 credit bureaus and disputed all my negatives. I don't know if that will work, or how long it will take.
Im new to the forum thing but lovin it so far. Quick question, I can't qualify for an unsecured credit card so I got a secured card thru cap one with a 200$ limit and only had to put up a$ 49 security deposit. Will it jump my score more increase my limit on that card by putting up more money towards it or opening up a new secured card thru b of a. B of a is a$ 300 limit. Whtcha think?
Chane,
I just wanted to say this is a great forum and has given me the ability to make a huge impact in my scores. Since December, my scores have climbed from the high 400's to the mid-600's. You are really having a positive influence on the lives of many. You should have generated lots of great karma!

I have just found this website, very impressive! What is your background in credit repair? I had somebody local fix my credit and just took my money and did nothing. I then decided i should start my own credit repair business and that is what i am doing! I should be up in a few weeks!
I found your post's to be very interesting. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am new to the site, but not credit repair. This site is amongst the top credit repair site's I have seen.
