So disappointed. So far, I've gotten 3 collection accounts deleted from EX and 7 deleted from TU. My TU score stayed the same and EX DROPPED by 5 points. How frustrating is that? I'm hoping when I start on the other side of it, rebuilding my good credit, things will go up rather quickly.

Where are you checking your scores?

That's really weird. How long did you wait to check your scores after you got the deletion notices?

Not long. Just a few days. I can see on my credit reports that they are gone. Do you think that the scores are just slow to update after and may take a bit? The other thing I'm wondering is that these were all paid collections, and the few that are left are mostly unpaid (but pretty aged). I'm wondering if this skewed it in some way.

It's hard to say, it seems like if they are no long showing up on your credit report that it would be reflected in the scores. It's also possible that it didn't effect your scores much, but that's not likely. FICO's algorithm is based on so many different factors. If you still have negatives or very few positives, it might not make much of a difference to get a few accounts deleted. How many positive accounts do you have and how long have they been reporting?

Hard to say. I have a mortgage still showing from 8 or so years ago that was all good, two car loans from two to three years ago, paid off and all good, a car currently reporting all good (3 years with one lender, sold to another lender three months ago), a mortgage that's been reporting for 11 years with some lates over the past two years but no lates for the last three months (those lates are hurting me), and one car payment (been reporting for two years) with a few lates, but no lates in the last three months and it's now paid off. I think I still have five collection accounts to try to get removed, but they are all at least two years old. I have two student loans showing 120+ days past due that are currently being rehabilitated and in two more months they will show all the past dues removed and all payments current. No new good credit though and no revolving credit.
