Talking Oldest accounts are negative. Should I dispute them?

Here's the deal. My 2 oldest accounts are negative. Should I dispute one (or both of them?) Will leaving one of the oldies on there actually help me (by dramatically lengthening the age of credit)?

Here's how they are listed (per TU/TrueCredit)
My oldest account: (the only installment account on my report)

Car loan, late 120 days.
Opened: 04/21/2003,
Reported: 05/01/2006

Late Payments:
30 Days Late: 10

60 Days Late: 2

90 Days Late: 2

Next oldest:

Credit card: Listed as current, closed by original credit grantor.
Opened: 03/17/2005
Reported: 12/21/2009

Late Payments (last 7 years):

30 Days Late: 4

60 Days Late: 1

90 Days Late: 4

Next oldest, Credit card opened 4/5/08. I have 4 other TLs reporting, 3 open and 1 closed (transferred). My average account age is less than 2 years.

My scores are 642/628/672 (eq/ex/tu)

Erasing those old accounts will chop 5 years off of my "age of credit." Thoughts?

Thanks for your input! I have learned so much since finding this forum!! :D

If they are negative, they are going to fall off of your report after 7 years anyway. (Well, they're suppose to.) If you can get them changed to positive, that would be awesome, but that is sometimes difficult...and probably will be in your case since you have 14 and 9 late payments...1-3 and they will sometimes remove them.

It seems to me that they will hurt your credit scores more than they will help, but it's hard to say.
