Question Very confused, need help getting started!

Hi All,
Thank you guys so much for this thread. I've been reading nonstop for 2 weeks and i'm just overwhelmed with information. Here is my situation: I'm a single mom who is tired of bad credit! I lost my job and was unemployed for a year so I fell behind on alot of bills. I have 11 medical accounts which are ALL charged off and within the SOL. The highest account being $2409.00. I had a preemie, and my insurance paid the $120,000.00 hospital bill, so these are leftovers I guess. I also have one CC charge off and some charge offs from tigertranz, which i know are paid. Since I'm still within the SOL, do I still validate these debts or try for a PFD since I'm in a postion to pay most of them now ? The problem is I just started making payments to 2 CAs (one being NCO) and I'm wondering where to go with the accounts since I'm actively making payments on them. Also I have incorrect address info/phone# info on my cr ( i ordered all 3) and was wondering do I dispute these alone, or can i dispute the accounts i know are reporting incorrect? Any feedback is much appreciated!

what do u mean when you say you know some of them are paid off? Meaning u paid them off and they are not reporting as such?

As for the medical bills, if u are in a position to pay them, I would try the HIPAA tactic. Check for the thread on HIPAA.
