Unhappy Where do I start?

Hello

Back in '07 I became pregnant with my son. I acquired quite a few medical bills throughout the pregnancy that I was not able to pay (living paycheck to paycheck at the time). Previous to the pregnancy, my credit score was 720. After the bills hit my credit report it dropped 200 points! I decided I was fed up with not being able to afford to pay anything extra EVER on anything and since I now had another life to think about, I decided to go to school. I graduate in 2 months. Since i've been in school, i've had to cut back my hours to about 20/wk so I went past due on a few credit cards as well. Now I have 2 charged off accounts, 2 current accounts, and 3 past due credit cards, not to mention the medical bills. My question is this: Where do I begin with the credit repair process? After I get out of school I will have roughly 600 month (YAY!) to put towards my debts. Should I pay the charged off accounts first? The past due credit cards (which will most likely be charged off), or pay off my current cards? I would like to be able to buy a house in the next 2 years, so I don't know where to begin. I have sent a financial aid request for the medical bills (for the third time because they were "never received") so hopefully I can get those bills reduced.

This may help you get started.... and put you on the right path.

Basic Step by Step Beginner's Guide to Credit Repair

Regarding which ones to pay..

I would pay off on current good standing accts. If it is AT ALL POSSIBLE, keep any accts from being charged off. Even if there are lates that are hurting your score, it will be WAY worse if they are charged off.

And keep in mind, a paid charge off or collection acct is just as bad as an unpaid CO or CA acct. It make NO difference whatsoever in your score.
