The way I read it is the SOL is 5 years could someone verify this true or not. thanks

Depends on what type of debt it is.... If you look here: Statute Of Limitations by State (this link is for OK) It shows that it's 5 years on a written contract......and 3 years on an open acct (ccs are open accts) The reporting SOL is the same in all states which is 7 years. HTH |

Also, If the type of debt is a CC, your best bet is to get familiar with OK Courts ruling on CC accounts as to whether they have ruled it's a written account or open account. If you are sued, and OK courts have ruled it as written(5 year sol) and you want to use the open account(3 years sol) you may have a fight on your hands trying to prove it.
