You will need to dispute that one as well. Keep in mind they have a right to report it for 7 years from the DOFD.......but you can always dispute. Challenge anything you think is being reported incorrectly.

thanks Trish. I'm pretty sure they had one of my old addresses and an incorrect name on there.

I had to go and get my ID made with my new address and the DMV here mails them out now. took forever so now i cant see my reports online anymore.

the point is on my online reports i used to be able to see what address the CA and OC had on file for me and what name they used. now all i have is a paper copy and i dont know how to check that information...any suggestions?

thanks again

(that was a very quick reply btw, greatly appreciated)

Do you mean that since you've change addys, you've been unable to access your reports?
If that's the case, just send the CRAs a copy of your new driver's license and a utility bill to show proof of ID......you should be able to get new CRs then.

And....yw. caught me at a good time.

no, I only paid for 30 days internet access to my CR's. DMV took so long to get my ID back to me that by the time i was ready to start getting work done, my 30 days had run out...

i might just fork out the 100 for myfico

MyFICO is way expensive, but the only place you can get your real FICO scores right?

I'm thinking about signing up with a credit monitoring service, but I would also like to know my real scores. Is there any other place that offers that? What do you think is the best credit monitoring service, Trish?

Sorry to hijack your thread. We can probably move this post to a credit monitoring thread, if need be.

True, unfortunately it's the only place to get your fico score. I would hold off getting ficos until you're about to apply for a loan......so at least that way you know what the lenders are going to see and there are no surprises.

As far as monitoring services where you can get daily pulls on your CRs......here's a current thread on that discussion (I'm still trying to decide if I want to dump credit secure.... I think I may go back to true credit)
credit monitoring service

And Help... yeah, we did sorta go off topic from your original post. Just let us know if you want to move the last few posts...
