Default deal with OC's and CA's/CRA's concurrently?

after reading and reading and reading, ive removed all my name variations, a SSN variation, old employers and all addresses except for a couple from experian...

I have a few CA's i plan on 1/2 punching. i understand that once you start a dispute with CRAs you have to wait until thats done before disputing again.

There is a finance company on my account that i have a repo with. I owe $4000 and id like to try to negotiate for less. 1, what are the chances theyll go for this and 2 can i do this as im waiting for the disputes to process since it doesnt involve contacting the CRA's

thanks in advance

Yes, you can definitely work with CAs or OCs simultaneously while dealing with CRAs.
Regarding the finance co... it really depends on the SOL..... if you are out of SOL, you have a better chance of negotiating on the amount. If it is still within SOL, more than likely you are going to have to pay it in full to have any kind of leverage.

its in SOL unfortunately. however, it may be close nearing SOL depending on which of these a repo falls under

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS (IN YEARS) - North Carolina

Open Acct.: 3

Sale of Goods: 4

Written Contract: 3

Domestic Judgment: 10

Foreign Judgment: 10

it shows last active 06/2007. im wiling to pay it off but thats a large chunk of my "credit fixin' money". luckily its also a large chunk of my debt

Eww.........repos... I know those all too well.
Those fall under the UCC sol which is 4 years from the date of resale.

Sounds like it is NOT within the SOL..... I would just let that one age a bit unless you are ready to pay it off... and even then, doubtful they will change it over to a positive TL.

My advice would be to work on anything else first. Don't wake a sleeping giant up just yet if you know what I mean.

ok so NOT within SOL means its not old enough, WITHIN SOL means it is old enough?

i assume we can also initiate a dispute with TU and EQ, and then turn around a few days later and initiate a dispute with EX?

You may want to talk to a mortgage counselor to see if that is going to affect your loan approval. Sometimes they will want all collections paid off before they will approve the loan.

If that's the case, then you might want to go ahead and try disputing it off. Only thing is.....if you dispute it, it could make them wake up and start up collections again. If you are willing to pay or negotiate payments, then you really don't have to worry about a lawsuit..(I hope this is all making sense).

Yes, you can do that. You just never want to overlap disputes with the same CRA. Wait out the full 30 days (once the investigation is over) before disputing again or you will start all kinds of confusion.
