I want to send a goodwill letter to one of my creditors to see if they would remove some late payments from three years ago when I lost my job. Does anyone have a good sample letter that has worked for them? Thanks.

The only gw letter sample I have is this one.... Sample Goodwill Letter Just make sure to modify it to fit your situation.. you definitely don't want the company thinking you are using a form letter. Try to send it to someone "higher up".........not just a CSR. Someone that might have some pull. Good luck and let us know how it goes! |

Thanks for the letter sample, Trish. I appreciate it. Should I address it to a customer service manager or is there a way to find out up "higher ups" for a certain company?

Google around and look for their executive staff. I've had luck finding out names of company CEOs and Presidents (along with addy to the administrative offices) by looking up the company profile. Sometimes if you look hard enough, you will even find their emails. I would not send it to just a CSR, they will have no power to help you. |
