Default Who should I pay?

I have 2 small medical bills, a $35 bill for x-rays and a $42 bill for ambulance service. Both are in collections, I don't think thaey have been charged off but am not sure, and on my CR. My question is, is it better to pay the CA or to go to the OC and pay them, then see if they will remove the derogatory TL entry? I know that if I pay the CA that it will stay on my CR for 7 years with a 0 balance, I was hoping that if I pay the OC that maybe the TL can be removed? Or will it still remain on the CR anyway? Or maybe would a pay for delete be the best option by paying them in full.

For medical debts, you should look into the HIPAA process.
