Default I hate Experian, 7 year and older items still showing

:mad:So two weeks ago, I sent out 7 year letters to each one of the CRA's asking them to remove 4 accounts that were charged off. All accounts are older than 7 years old.

Transunion removed the accounts promptly, Equifax is stilling investigating and Experian sends me back this cute little letter today, saying something along the lines of: "We are responding to your request to verify items on your personal credit report. We have already investigated this information and the credit grantor has verified its accurary."

I didn't send them verification or validation letters, I send them a 7 year letter. I don't understand how they could not have removed these accounts.

I am unsure of what to do next and am a little frustrated. Transunion wasn't a problem, don't these CRA's have to follow the same set of laws?

Should I contact each one of the oringal creditors seperately and dispute with them?

Follow up.

I ended up calling Experian myself to find out more information and to see if I can dispute the items as well since they are all legit.

The woman actually was very helpful and I did have partial success. The woman told me that its 7 years, from the date of delinquency, not from the date the accounts were open.

I had 1 charge off removed which she said would be removed immediately.

3 other charge offs are set to drop off in April 2010, September 2010 and November of 2010.

Is is true that its 7 years from the date of first delinquency?

Yes it is,remember they only report whats reported to them.So the dispute is with the oc or ca.

Thanks jjgross. It's just funny because the OC's are reporting the exact same information to all 3 credit bureaus, Transunion removed them immediately but Experian only removed 1 so far.

I really would like to get these removed sooner. What could I do to dispute with the OC's even though the 1st date of delinquencies are accurate?

Pick through the TL with a fine tooth comb, you can even post it if you want to......so you can get opinions from others...or someone might catch something you haven't. See if there are ANY inaccuracies at all.

Worse comes to worse you could challenge that DOFD date.... redispute stating that it's incorrect.

Trish, not sure what you mean by TL. I take it that stands for tradeline? I just don't exactly what that means in regards to me and the original creditors.

Thanks.

Yes, TL=tradeline... the debt being reported on your CRs.
Look carefully at how it's reporting and make sure there aren't any inaccuracies.
