When credit card companies send letters back that they confirm that the account is yours is the ok or are they required to send signed documents? I just find it hard to believe that all they have to do is say they have confirmed this and thats the end of the story.

Believe it or not, that's the way it is. It's all done via computer and no documentation exchanges hands. Same applies for the bureaus. If you provide them with "proof" of your dispute, don't think they send that to the creditors they are verifying with. Now u can see why so many reports have errors.

I think I might start taking some of these people to small claims court. Either show me the proof in court or remove it from my credit.
