I recently wrote a goodwill letter to a creditor whom I had a 30 day with because I had health problems one month (and just really completely forgot about the payment since it was the only card that didn't have online access). I immediately paid off the entire balance the very next month. In the letter, I stressed that the info was accurate, and that I was not disputing anything. Today, I received a letter back from them and it states that they have now reported the account as disputed to the credit bureaus. It's like they didn't even read the letter. This was my first time doing anything like this. Is this an expected result? Do I or should I do anything now? Thanks in advance. |
