Default Need help with Experian dispute

After disputing with Experian and attempting to start a second round, I sent them a letter disputing their "already verified- will not do so agian" response. I found the letter here and tweeked it to fit my needs.

I then got back a letter basically stating "we recieved a suspicious inquiry to your account. we take this seriously and will report to authorities, blah, blah, blah".

Has anyone else encountered this? It seems like a scare tactic to me.

Any advise on how I should reply?

Thanks

I have never gotten a response like that.....

Did they state WHO made the suspicious inquiry? You are supposed to have info of every person or company that pulls your report...

No, but I'm just guessing it was stemmed from my letter.

I called Experian. They said that the letter "didn't appear to be from me" so they would not address the issues included in it, and that they did not and would not redispute them, even if I sent in proof that the items were reported incorrectly.

Any ideas?

Sounds like they thought it was a form letter or a CRO. Was it hand written or typed?

The CRAs use a computerized mail sorting process.....any typed up letter can be scanned by their system and sorted accordingly.
That is why you will see in several posts here, the recommendation to send in your disputes hand written or with purple or teal italic font. The computers cannot scan these and it has to be routed to an actual person that will open and read it.
I would try disputing again.... send it CM but not RR and handwritten if possible. Some people have even sent in their proof of ID (picture ID and proof of SS#) so that the person reading it won't have any excuse to say it's not you.

Really... Ugh...what a PITA...
EX is becoming more and more difficult it seems. :sneaky:

Yeah.....sorry I don't have any other advice for you but just to try again. Go ahead and put proof of ID in there so they don't have anything to bitch about.

Keep us posted and good luck.
