Default Paying off old debt

I would like to pay an old debt off. By old a mean 3 years and the amount is $125. They are reporting on my CR. How do I pay this off without lowering my credit score. Is it even worth it? Should I just leave it alone? Thanks

You can try a pay for delete. Or you can take a chance and pay it then dispute it. Paid collections usually come off easier then non-paid, but that is definitely taking a risk. Or you can just dispute it without paying it.
