Default First thread, Many different questions.

PFD = Pay for Deletion

Now if I am understanding this correct we are asking them to delete from the CRA's by paying the debt off?

If I am understanding this correct than is there a sample letter on here for that. Anyone have one.. they want to share.. and has anyone had any luck with them?

Now Trish says on the 1-2 punch you dispute with the CA's as soon as they sign the RR than you dispute with the CRA's. Now do you dispute with all three and do you want to send it overnight or will sail mail work?

I have taken Trish's advice and read. I have read for three days and I have my first round of letters getting ready to go out. Total of 30 of them, No they are not all bad debt. 20 of them are GW letters... I need a break.... did my homework and I am sending one to every vp and ceo in the company... someone has to have a heart.

a couple of them I am going at them hard... I was in the military and they violated the SSRA and a couple more.... but other than that I do have some questions on things I have read mixed points of view on here...

So I do the 1-2 punch and it comes back verified or validated. Send the DV2 out right away. To the CA, because it says they have 15 days to respond. Is this a stall tactic on our end before they send it to the CRA's this way we reach the 30 day limit?

I have 3 collections on my account but those darn late payments kill you..... If I am getting disability for Post traumatic war Stress you think I can get some leeway with the companies... or how about the CRA's

Thanks for help... and I hope this on will answer anyone elses questions if they have the same ones as me.

That's correct.

It's probably best to make up your own, but just to show you what one would look like you can check some of the ones I've used here:

Sample 'Pay for Delete' Letters

Snail mail is fine.

Let us know if they work. The more we find out what works, the better we become as a community and resource for others.

Well I looked at a sample letter for DV2 and it says the CA has 15 days to respond. The purpose of the 1-2 punch is to put the CA on a time crunch in hopes that they will run out of time before they can get the info to the CRA. So here was the question. If the first leter comes back from the CA's as verified or validated then as soon as we receive it they can send it to CRA. But if we still dispute it again right away with a DV2 can they still send the leter to CRA since they have verified or validated the information to you?

I am going to send these leters out on monday in hopes it gets there on a friday or thursday... two reasons People are always happy on Thursdays and Fridays. Unless they are getting let go... in incase they might get upset and throw the letter away and then I have them... Now on the GW letter I would hope they would be in a good mood because of the weekend.... It has been proven productivity and overall mood on the last two day people tend to be happier and more relaxed.... Lets hope it works for me.

Default One week Later and Here is what I got!!!!!!

Goodwill letters,

One said it has been validated that it is correct. So I guess I just keep sending letters someone has to have a heart.

One was just to the collections office not to the Credit card companies, so I had to retype all the letters with the new people’s name. Still waiting I Have not received anything back yet.

Question Now- can they do a stop and desist letter to me so I can’t send them any more?

Sent out a Pay for Deletions, allegedly owed 2400.00 to XXXXX Company.... Made them an offer for 1000.00 to pay for the Deletion received a response they took it and I have to the 14th to send them the 1000.00 and it will be off my report

So far so good. I have a copy of the PFD letter if anyone would like it... Still working on the Goodwill letter maybe Ill keep updating to make it sound more sympathetic.

Why would they want to do that? I've never heard of a company doing that. Usually they want to bug the crap out of you until you give in and send them money!

Just wondering.... Did you Dv them first? You might of already posted this answer but I am a little slow today!

So I thought they was going to change on my credit report those three to being paid on time. Well the compnay just deleted the account and now its not on my credit report. I was hoping they would have changed the three I would have liked to seen it a positive on my report instead of gone. All in all a win is a win....

Good luck
