Default Copy of an Old Bill Good Enough to Validate Debt?

Is an old bill considered good enough for validation of a debt? I can't remember if i read this somewhere or not

Is this what an OC or CA has on you?
Is it correct? Check for any inaccuracies at all.

I would think an old bill could validate a debt. BUT, again, find the slightest inaccuracy and just dispute it as being wrong and leave it at that.
