Default Ready to Get Started

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and ready to get started, but I have a couple questions please:

1. how much is it to order reports directly from all 3 CRA's and 2. how do I delete/update any personal info with all 3 CRA's ?

Any help is appreciated

When did we start telling people to get reports from ACR? Ordering your reports from ACR gives the CRAs 45 days instead of 30 for their investigations.

I would personally never give them 15 more days.

And when did we start telling them to dispute anything online?

You're making me nervous, JJ. I need stop by the forums more often.

I should probably rephrase that. If you can't afford your credit reports, AnnualCreditReport.com is the answer. Otherwise I would never use ACR.

I should have added what i do is get my free reports, then if i want to dispute i buy a credit report, when it comes to personal info I've always done it on line.now my tl disputes are in writing.Sorry to be misleading or unclear on this.I'm having a senior moment.Ok now. I guess I'm assuming that people understand what i mean that's my mistake.I'll go back to class today:o

Thanks much for the info ,.....I don't have a problem with purchasing my reports ,..I definitely don't want to give them an extra 15 days .So I can just go online to the CRA's and update my own info ?,..it's that's simple ?,..by the way ,..I've already opted -out :-)

If you want a paper trail you can do it by mail,if you do it on line your only able to view it for 30 days, with mail they'll update and send you a report.opting out is the first step, then your personal info, getting rid of old address's etc. Then going through your reports and disputing them.Takes time so have patience with it.

Okay, I've opted out, I do have to get rid of some old addresses but I was going to do that by sending a letter. I also dispute by mail, is that the best way to do it?

That is the way so you have a paper trail, for down the road when you have to dispute again.

Wink

Great ! I know that patience is the key,....when sending a letter to CRA's requesting the updating/deletion of my info ,..should it just be "simple and sweet" or is there a format I need to follow for this request ?
