So I received a letter from Experian on May 4th with some mumbo jumbo. "if you question the results of our investigation, then you may want to contact the furnisher of information directly. etc" They didn't list the TL's that I disputed. So I waited to see if I would get a follow up letter. Here we are on June 5th and still no letter. I did call to check the dispute through their automated system deal and it is showing some changed and one item was removed (YEAH!!!!!!). Should I wait and see if there will be another letter? I want to send another round of disputes but don't want to let them lengthen their investigation time. What should I do? ETA: According to the automated system they validated three medical collections that are reporting inaccurately. I don't recall them and they are reporting as IIB, which is incorrect as my bk was discharged a year before these supposedly happened. Do I now send a DV letter to the CA's about them? I did the medical collection letter that was showed to me via this site. Without them sending me a letter, I feel like I am lost, lol! Last edited by Maygen13; 06-05-2009 at 03:46 PM. |

I initially sent my dispute letter on April 29th, received the letter from Experian on May 4th with no other information, no descriptions, nothing. Yesterday I called to check on the dispute through their automated system. I disputed five TL's, three of which were from the same CA (medical), which are the ones that are stating as being IIB. According to the automated system, one medical collection was removed, the three through the same CA are all reading as IIB and there was a old charge card CO. I have still yet to receive an "official" results letter. I hope I am making sense, it's easier to explain than type :o So at this juncture I should file a FTC complaint regarding the fact that I have yet to receive a response from them and then send them a copy of the FTC complaint stating that they need to be removed as they did not get back to me in a timely fashion? |

Yes. File the FTC complaint and then send a copy to the CRAs demanding deletion. I know I said redispute with the medical dispute letter earlier........but since they completely failed to send you a response letter, I think demanding deletion is a better way to handle this. |

Well I recieved a letter from EX today June 9th dated the 4th. I sent my letter 4/29 and received one from them on 5/4. Do I still have grounds to file a FTC complaint? They verified medical bills that are reporting as IIB which are dates AFTER my bk and are reporting with a zero balance and are out of SOL? I used the first HIPPA letter for them. If I can't file a complaint where do I go from here?

I know you said you sent the dispute out on April 29th........but do you know when EX actually rec'd it?

My best guess is the 3rd or 4th since they sent me the stall letter. 5/4 to 6/4 is 33 days, does that count? |
