I have a debt for capital one that fell off my report due to old age, now today I recieved letter from CA saying they purchased it... Can this be reported on my credit report? AGHHH just cant get away with anything ... First delinquency was in 01...

Well its out of sol for collection,and if they report it as newer then dofd,sue them.Who was the ca?:eek:

No. It cannot be collected on OR reported if it's that old.
Dispute that with the CRAs as obsolete and it should get removed.
If you get any collection letters from the CA you can send them a FOAD letter.

great thanks, I just recieved letter today and they left 2 messages on my answering machine today... It fell off my reports last year, Im just worried about collection agency reporting it, I thought I had everything licked, but here I go again
