Default Paid Collection Accounts

Hello

Im glad I found this forum and I wish I found it sooner, have already made mistakes.(Been lurking for 2 weeks or so.)
In April I got my 3 free reports.
I paid off 3 things on my report.
Now I have 3 letters from the CA saying paid in full zero balance.
I hope I can correct my mistakes. :o

I feel really overwhelmed with all the info..lol

Anyways thank you for all the info.
Alice

Hi Alice. Welcome

Not sure if you've found any of my posts about accts that have already been paid.... if not I will see if I can find one

It is a bit overwhelming at first... but keep reading and posting questions if you have any and it will start to make sense.

Thank you for the welcome.

I havent found the post yet, I did a search, but I need to read more.
Oh I should say that I have opt-out and I need to order my reports then take all my past info off.

I have a BK, just hit 7 years. (I dont know if I will try to get this removed or wait out 3 years.
A student loan that I thought was on financial hardship, but it wasnt set up correctly. So now I have 120 days late on my credit. When I found out what was going on I paid the amount and it was set up correctly. (Maybe a GW letter can get this fixed.)

Then the 3 CA reports that I thought was doing good by paying...Oh well live and learn..lol

Again, thank you for all the information.

This area is for off-topic discussion. I'm moving the thread to credit repair.

On the student loan contact them and really lay the sob story on about the incorrectness of the setting up the loan and ask for a one time forgiveness as its damaging your credit and you want to try to buy a house your life long dream.

Trish, I have searched ever which way i can think of for the paid collection account post you are telling me about and I havent found it yet.:o

I get to order my credit repors this week and hopefully next week we get to pay for my credit scores.

We have lived in our home for 11 years, I hope this doesnt make the process harder for us (hubbie and myself) to clear up our credit. Im sure eveything will be verified.

We got a car loan this weekend, so as soon as we hit 650 we are running to refinance it. This will help us loads!:D Baby steps..YaY
