With alot of advise from reading this forum and help from those who replied I finally sent out my Dispute Letter, it has been 3 weeks and I have not heard nothing from the credit bureau as of yet! I dont know if that is good or bad? I am waiting patiently day by day to see what kind of reply I am going to get? I have until June 3rd and that will be my 30 day waiting period, now if I do not get a reply prior to June 3rd what will be my next step? I just want to have everything prepared just incase, I am new to this and I want to approach this situation correctly. Thank again to anyone that replied to my prior posts. )Sharu |

You have to give them 30 days + 5 days for mail time. Some of them (like TU esp) will take the FULL 30 days. If you have not rec'd a response by then, you should file an FTC complaint and then you can send the CRA a copy of your complaint and demand deletion since they did not investigate your dispute in a timely manner........which is a BIG violation of the FCRA. |
