Default What is this supposed to mean (letter from experian)

I received this in the mail today...

"If you question the results of our investigation, then you may want to contact the data furnisher directly. Please refer to your original personal credit report for the business name, address, and phone number of the source that verified the information."

It didn't list anything else this was it. It doesn't list what was investigated, nothing.

I am assuming that they "verified" the information and aren't doing a damn thing. What sucks is that the information is indeed incorrect and they are reporting inaccurately.

Now do I wait 30 days and re-dispute?

They didn't state that the item was updated, verified or anything?
I mean really.......how can you "question the results" of their investigation if you don't know what the outcome was? Geez.

You can call EX, ask them what the outcome was because you weren't clear on what or how it was verified.
I'm sure they verified it by electronic means...

Is this an OC or a CA that's reporting the acct?

It's an OC reporting the acct. it was my Honda car loan, which was paid in full on time all the time. Two CRA's are reporting it as included in a bankruptcy and derogatory. Makes me cranky.

ETA: I just pulled a new report and in the remarks it says "Consumer disputes - reinvestigation in progress" Does this mean they are still looking into it and it was a stall letter?

Could be...
How many days has it been since the CRAs rec'd your dispute? If it hasn't been the full 30 days, you should wait it out a bit more.

Should he wait 30 days or 45 days? I heard that there are several exceptions that would give the CRAs 45 days, for instance if they heard a response from the CA like 29 days into the investigation.

For the free credit reports, they can take up to 45 days. Regular reports should only take 30 days. You do also need to allow 5 days for mail time.

So when the 35th day comes, what do you do? Send a letter Express Overnight Delivery with signature required stating that you demand everytihng disputed to be deleted?

No, you would file an FTC complaint and a BBB complaint also if you would like and then send the CRA a copy of your complaints with a demand for deletion.

No need to overnight or get signatures........not unless you are sending your letter to the legal dept with an ITS. You only need to send it certified mail for proof.

I mailed my letters on 4/29 so it seems as though they got my letter and immediately sent out a letter that was nonsense. Thanks for the help all, I'll update when I get a real letter back, lol.
