So I have this CC that about a month ago I asked for a credit limit increase, they denied it saying I had to many past limits in the past 12 months. During this time I kept recieving offers for a 2nd card with them because I had excellent credit history with them. So I sent them a letter asking, if my credit history is excellent with you why will you not extend my limit on my first card?(I sent them the letter they sent me saying how "excellent" my history was with them. I was just curoius on thier response. They responded with sorry, but we are unable to extend your limit because they checked with transunion and I have public records or collection accounts, etc..... This made me upset because 1. I didnt ask them for a credit limit increase again, 2. thier website says if you ask for a credit limit increase they do not check with any CRA's they go off info on the account you have with them! I then yesterday sent a letter to thier CEO, hopefully it finds him, telling him the situation and that this inquiry needs to be deleted right away and asking him the original question I had. I know I probably dug my own on this one, but just wondering if anyone has been thru anything like this before or if htis doesnt get to the CEO do I have another option. non PP letter? thanks |

That's just jacked up. I think you have done the right thing by writing the CEO. I would give it about a month and see if you get a response. Did you send it CMRR by chance?......so that you know who receives it? Might want to wait on the non pp letter and see if you hear from the CEO first. Another thing to try if your letter doesn't work is Planet Feedback. I'm curious to see if the CEO responds. Keep us posted ok? |
