Default Paid it off - now what?

So after a 5 year payment arrangement with MBNA now BoA my $19K card is paid in full - literally.... well on May 15 it will be.

I had a 1% interest rate - yeap one percent. I paid $430/mo. Originally I paid $520/mo but i think i fell behind, renegotiated and it dropped to $430 - yeah i know - go figure!

Here's the problem... when i fell behind on that original $520 it made the past due go to about $2450. When I restarted the plan the payments were contributing to the NON-past due balance. I called them several times over the years and they told me they could not re-age the account for some reason or another.... so the result is even though I'm paying $430/mo religously and have paid the entire balance it still shows as past due every damn month because it never applies to that past due balance. I havn't missed a payment in at least 3 or 4 years.

what do I do? At least now its paid in full, but it still shows i've had 24 late pays in the last 24 months. I thought about sending the monthly statements to the CRAs and pleading my case - but will they give a crap or do anything? BoA won't do a damn thing probably because its still old MBNA people working there. Bunch of A-holes that's what BoA stands for.

I would try a goodwill letter to someone with some power. Google for their corporate office and find out who their execs are. You can try the CEO or the Pres.

You may also want to look at Planet Feedback. Some people have had luck going through them.
