Default Best Place to Get FICO Scores??

I'm not sure if I'm ready to pull my scores yet, since I need to really try and get some things on report taken care of that I can now prove are wrong.

But, I will need to pull our reports soon. Actually I may it pull it now that I think about it. So, I can see the impact later on - a mortgage broker will have to pull again anyway and I'll get another copy in a month or so too and see what happens. Anyhow...

What are your suggestions in where to pull??? I need FICO Scores.

I know myfico.com is supposed to be good. Though they denied me as an affiliate with cj.com so I don't feel I should use their services. ha.

Wondering if I should just order through Equifax? I think they provide TransUnion too right? And Experian - well, I know - they suck - I'll just have to guess on that one! (and keep disputing.)

Are you currently talking to a mortgage consultant? (since you will be refinancing soon).....could you maybe ask them to pull your tri merge report? After all, that will be the report/numbers they will be seeing. Just a thought.

If you don't want to do that then myfico is the only other option really. All of the other places that claim to give you scores are FAKOs and they won't be accurate.

There not only fakos but your fico scores may be a little higher.

yeah, I could wait for mortgage consultant - YET, I'm going to be kinda anxious to see what they are before hand and what I need to do to increase verses having them do a hard pull I guess.

I may wait a few weeks or maybe I'll wait for mortgage person too and just keep on doing what I'm doing and hope the score increases.

Well, what I was thinking.... (but I'm not sure how refinancing works compared to applying for a first time loan which is what I'm doing).......is if you talk to the mortgage consultant.......maybe they will pull a tri merge for you. Not to send to the bank for the refinance.......but just for you. They might do it as a favor and it will be a lot cheaper.

For instance......it's been a while since I've had a tri merge report pulled.......but I'm calling my guy today so that he can pull dh's reports to make sure everythings ok for a pre approval just in case we like the home we are looking at next week. That way we can make an offer with confidence.

If we don't like the home or we change our minds........he will just be pulling our report for us really (he won't be sending to underwriters for a pre approval).

Just wondering if your mortgage consultant would do that for you........just so you can see where you are score-wise.

it's a thought, but it is still a pull of credit, which actually would hurt our score a bit unfortunately - every point will matter.

I'm hoping to get this other issue resolved too so our score increases by time the mortgage professional needs to pull report. I guess that is why I want to see my report now. Though, I'm thinking it will change anyway. So, I haven't decided yet. ha.

Ah I see what you're saying......if you don't want a hard pull then myfico is really the only place to go.
