Hey improving...... thanks for the kind words.

Regarding the utility bill  Seriously??
Wow.

Have you thought of filing complaints? This is ridiculous over such a small debt.

Or maybe offering to pay it off stating you are still not admitting it's your debt.....because it's not but you're willing to pay it just to get it off of your CRs....(if that's an option you might consider)

hmm - I posted, but it did not take it yesterday, so I'm posting again.
Your welcome Trish and it is nice to have you back - it may help get me back on track! ha.

Anyway, this is crazy I know. Yes, I'd loooove to file a complaint? With whom though? I don't know where to begin. God is busy.

So - I'm confused how the dates are - one says it'll be removed in 2016!! from a debt from 2003? then their posse CA at least has theirs listed to be removed in oct of 2010. craziness.

Yes, I would pay the dang thing if they'd agree to delete it and actually keep it deleted. But, I've been through this before - same ordeal, same bill with proof of letter stating they were wrong and 6 years later it pops up on report again!

So, do I send a pay for delete letter and try that request a letter back or signed form back if they approve. ?? actually I think I tried and told the gal over the phone that I'd pay if they delete and they wouldn't - only mark it as paid. so, I don't know what to do next.

I would start with complaints to the BBB, the FTC and their state's Atty General.
See how they like that first.
Keep disputing it.....as "not mine" since it is truly not yours. It may put a fraud alert on your reports but that is the true reason for your dispute. They need to investigate ownership of the acct.

And (not sure if I'm understanding this correctly..) if you have disputed it off of your CRs and had it removed before and then it popped back up on your CR (from the same FOI), then you should use a redispute/reinsertion letter to the CRAs. I posted one here a while back......if you can't find it, let me know.

Thanks, I will start filing some complaints. I may do a pay for delete just for kicks to again and see if they respond.

Yeah, I did do that one letter to CRA's since I was never notified of this item coming back on the report by anyone. Nothing. Lately all my dang credit disputes just come back as verified when I find that impossible!

It sure is a long battle battle trying. But, it has to be done or many would be stuck with horrible credit because they just don't seem to be very thorough or accurate most of the time! I'll keep u posted.

Mission accomplished - though I think I have another post on this ordeal somewhere too.

Anyway, I filed complaint with BBB - we went back and forth a few times - but I ended up paying for deletion! Which is well worth it in my mind and it is now in writing if it ever pops up again!

Ahhhh - SUCCESS! FINALLY. I think this was the main reason I found this site and posted since April of 09!!

I haven't checked yet to verify deletion and not sure if it will be immediate, but I'm sure hoping the score goes.... up, up and away!! (well, at least up.) away and off the charts is a nice dream though. ha.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

anyone know how - I wish I could just transfer this ordeal to success stories instead of sharing the low down on there. ?

Congrats!! That's great news! :2thumbsup:

It's a good idea to leave the thread here in credit repair for others to find.....but what you could do is start a new thread in success stories and then just post a link to this thread. Hope that made sense.

If you need, I can do it for you....just let me know. And again.....wtg on your success!! :D
