I want to see what my next best step is. It has been 30+ days since I send a verification letter to the OC, they have failed to respond and just before I sent this letter they validated a dispute with TU. In the letter I did say they have 30 days to respond, they were in accurately reporting and not to respond to my next round of disputes if they cant verify. So should I try to dispute this again? Do they by law have to respond to my letter? Is there another letter I need to send them now? This is the same TL that I mentioned that is showing 25-90 day lates! Please advise me on my next step. thanks you |

Ok.....so just to make sure..... this is a cc reporting incorrectly? Is it in good standing or is it a charge off? The reason I ask is because the way you approach it would be a little different. Right now (either way) I would send the OC another letter. You need to have proof that you tried. So, the next one should basically say the same thing........but in the beginning you want to let them know this is your second letter.......list the date of the first letter along with the CM number (kinda like in the beginning of the DV2 letter) and when they received it.......and let them know how long it's been and that you would appreciate a response. Then if they still don't answer......it's time to start filing complaints. |

On EQ it shows as a $103 balance bad debt/collection and 25-90 day lates. On TU it shows chrged off as bad debt with a $103 balance and no lates. So it is a charge off. I will start on a 2nd letter. thanks |

So this TL is coming up on the 2nd 30 day since I mailed the DV2 letter. I was wondering besides the FTC who should I file complaints with and what should my next letter to them be. They have had absolutley no contact with me thru either of the DV letters. Thanks |

Well, you can also file complaints with the BBB, their state's AG (I believe their HQs are in NY) and what will hit them the hardest.....the OCC. I looked and they appear to be a nationally chartered bank. OCC: Consumer Complaints and Assistance When you file complaints give them as much info as you can. Copies of letters, copies of CMRR cards, disputes with the CRAs coming back verified, copies of your CRs on how it's reporting (black out ALL other TLs on the same page - you don't want them seeing anything else) highlight the inaccuracies or make notes on the side if you need to..... Just be sure to be as thorough as you can so that you can back up your complaints. ![]() Good luck. |
