Question repo-paying off

okay, so i have been reviewing my credit report and the repo is showing up under the original lender as written off for $3124.00. however, i have been paying a CA/Law Firm for sometime now and my balance is only $740. How do I get this cleared up on my report? I am absolutely clueless about these thingS!!

The oc wrote it off as a bad debt fox tax purpose. Now your paying the debt.Chances are your stuck with this for 7 yrs from last payment to the lender on your credit report. The lender might even send you a 10-99 for taxes.Inless you can find some error in their reporting your saddled with it.

Unfortunately.......what jj says is true.
That one may be a hard one to get off. I have the same problem. I have been disputing a repo for years.....and it's still stuck there. I have tried literally everything.

See if you can find ANYTHING inaccurate in the way it's reporting......and dispute that. If that doesn't work, you can either try disputing for a different reason or contacting the company directly. If they are reporting it correctly though.......I can tell you first hand, it will be a tough one.
