I've read all of this information but I'm still confused on where to start and who send letters to first! The thing is..I have a total of (14)negative things on my report..some are reporting active but have been paid, others were reported to all (3)CRA but have different information like acct # and high/limit amounts. Also, when I look at my account number on statements that I have it doesn't match those that is listed on my CR and some acct #s are two digit numbers that doesn't resemble my actual acct #..is that normal?

I know for a fact that I have (3) current collections or charge off; one CRA will have it listed as a charge off while the others have it as unpaid/closed.

And as for the ones that are paid and settled and I have a letters stating that it's settled(unfortunatly back then, I didn't know anything about PFD) shoud I do a DV letter to the CA or go straight to the CRA and dispute it?

Hi Angel. Welcome...

No worries. Try not to stress out.
14 is a lot but it's not impossible.. I started out with more than you. I know how overwhelming it is at first.

And for those TLs that are reporting different acct #s......not sure if that's normal but it's an inaccuracy.......that's a good thing!

Hard to tell exactly what all you've got going on as far as collections or COs.....but once you post some specifics, it will be a little easier to give you advice on what to do......and how to go about it.

So, I'm glad you found this forum. Stick around and read.......especially the beginner's section.......and it will all start to make sense. Trust me.

I've already opt-out and I know that I need to dispute my personal info.I should only have (1) current address and no(0) work info...right? I know that I'm so clueless on all of this! Should these disputes get done my mail or online(address/work info)?

address/work info can be disputed online. Everything else is best done by mail.
