new comer need help with how to start

Hello everyone,


Need some help on how to start get my credit back to 800, I pulled my credit report an it is showing a score of 602. I have about 5 charge off, need to know should i pay it off or just ride out the storm and hold on tight for the ride. I am a divorce single mom and sll of sudden everything startec gong south when katrina hit s fl. i lost a lot and fighting to get back on top of things. i need help as to how to get back on the good foot, but still maintain my neccessarity in my house hold.

If you have charge offs and are willing to pay, you may be able to get them to delete the TL in exchange for payment/settlement.

How old are the debts? Are they reporting correctly?
This first thing you need to do look through this section (beginner's info).
You will find links and info on how to opt out, update and delete all personal info (those 2 things are a must when you start repairing) and then (assuming you have gotten reports from all 3 CRAs) triage your reports.
Start with the oldest ones......and take them one or two at a time. You should always dispute them first and see what happens. Then, if they do come back verified, you need to get a strategy together.

Start with those things. Stick around here and read and you will learn a lot.
Then once you get down to the triage part, maybe you can list who and how they are reporting so that we can help you figure out your plan of attack.
