Default increasing credit limit on cc help score?

I am wondering if asking for a increase would help or hurt your score either way, whether they deny it or not? anyone have any idea?

Asking for a credit line increase does not affect your FICO score.

Paying the cards down would positively affect your score as much as having a credit line increase.

True........but if you can get an increase AND lower your balance (below 50% utilization) that will help your score even more.

If you have had a CC for at least 1 year with no lates.......they should be able to bump your CL up.

It would hurt your score temporarily if they made it a hard inquiry.
