I read in the beginners info that it is wise to join a credit monitoring service for access to CR's. Are these CR's I view online considered paid CR's & only allow the 30days for a dispute response? Or does it have to be a paper copy? What about if I dispute something on a CR I pull online thru a monitoring service & it's in the free trial period? I know these might be stupid questions but I have something on my report that I know will not be verified in 30 days but could be if given 45days.

The monitoring services (as far as I know) are considered paid CRs. I was concerned about this too when I had True Credit so I called them up and asked. Alot of the monitoring services will have a dispute link that takes you directly to the site to dispute, where you can get a "paid" report directly from their site. If you want to make sure just contact the monitoring service like I did and ask them. |
