from your credit report, is there any way to have them reported again? Up until last year, I had a 12 year-old, positive installment loan reported (only 6mo terms) but then, poof, it was gone. Also, my boyfriend had a 12 or 13 year-old, never late, paid, auto loan that reported until at least 2006, that disappeared.

Seems like, installment loans are not the best option if one wanted to have/keep an old account on their report, since they disappear?

thanks, in advance

Unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do. A negative TL will stay on your CR for 7 years. A positive TL can stay on for at least 10 years......sometimes longer.

The only thing I could recommend is that you try to contact the OC and see if they will "re-report" it.
