I have read that one way to help your credit score is to become a authorized user on someones CC that is in good standing. Wondering if this was true and if it affects the other persons credit score or anything else? The story I read about was just a sears charge card.

Yes, if you can get on a credit card (with good standing history of course)as an AU then it could help your score. It will not affect the primary cardholder's credit at all. You never even have to have the card or make purchases on it (if you want to set the cardholder's mind at ease) and all they have to do is order an extra card and put you on the acct as an AU. |
