Default After the Collection Agency Dispute Letters...

So I sent out my dispute letters to the collection agencies... My question is after the 30 days runs out, how do I get it removed from my credit report?

Do I send the info to the credit bureaus showing that they could not verify my debt, or do I just do another round of credit repair?

I have a feeling they are going to not respond then keep reporting.

thanks

Just trying to clarify......you sent some CAs debt validation letters? Dispute letters are for the CRAs, so I just want to make sure you sent the correct letter. Did you also send them CMRR?

There is no time limit for the CAs. They can take as long as they want.......but they cannot continue collection activity until they send you proof of the debt. If you know when they received the letters, it would be wise to dispute the TLs with the CRAs. That way they will be in a time crunch since they are not allowed to verify the account with the CRAs until they send you proof. (that may be the 30 days you are thinking about, since a CRAs investigation time is 30 days)

I sent validation letters. On the validation letter it says that they have 30 days to verify. So they have unlimited amount of time?
I will do another round of credit repair letters tomorrow.

Thanks,
Jesse

I know some of the letters give a time frame.......but by law, they don't have respond. They just can't collect on the debt.

Yes, if it's been over 30 days, you should go ahead and send another round .......like a DV2 stating you haven't heard from them so you assume the debt is not valid and you expect it to be removed from your reports.

If you haven't disputed these with the CRA yet, you should.
