Default Late Mortgage

I am in a situation that I think should be handled by a professional? I have 6 late payment showing on my credit report and this is due to a error in our part, when signing up for our mortgage 3.5 years ago we signed up for what we thought were bi-monthly agreements and what we have are bi-weekly payments, now that this has snowballed and we were behind we quickly became current-this transposed in December, now I get a alert stating we are still 30 days late (and we are not) I have all the paper work from the bank where we fell off track but I am scarred to tackle this myself incase it turns into be a nightmare, I am thinking on using Lexington Law and letting them handle this, I am due to refinance again in June and would like this cleared up: Any suggestions!!!!!

Chane may be able to give you some info on Lexington. He has worked with them in the past.

If you choose to take care of it yourself, the best way to try to remove lates is with a goodwill letter. Basically this is a letter explaining your situation and pretty much begging for forgiveness/asking them to remove the "late" notations.

Some people have had to write more than one letter.....so you have to be persistent.

Thanks for the info Trish, one thing I did not add that I think is strange is that during this time I was late and was not aware my PMI insurance should have been taken off which would have made my loan $129.99 lighter and it never was but now because of my deliqencies they will not remove the PMI (this is something I do not understand)
