I agree ,dispute with the credit bureaus first , but those stall letters and those "previously verified letters" get old ,, Example, i have had a car loan thats been paid now for 5 years, i was late 120 days, i've been trying to get that removed....I was able to get it off of my equifax report ..
Ah.....my bad. I thought you were talking about CAs. The trouble with OCs is they don't validate, they verify. You have to go through the proper steps to get them to even respond to you (you always have to dispute first, then go to them directly). Did they write you back at all? Do you have proof of the letters you've sent them?

What do you mean EX has ignored your disputes? Totally ignored or do you mean the "previously investigated" responses........because IMO, those are such a crock. How did you dispute (mail, online or by phone)?Just curious what kind of problems you are having.....

There are some things that are just going to be extremely difficult to get off.. BUT I do know of a letter that had a little bit of success with those previously verified issues. You will need to start squeaking.

Lates will be really tough.....have you tried goodwill letters? Maybe Planet feedback?

Always remember that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. About the time that they figure out that you are not just going to "go away and forget about it" is about the time they start to do whatever it takes to get you to shut up.

With that said, you always want to choose your battles wisely and you never want to annoy anyone more than you have to. Always ask nicely first. Politeness, kindness and even flattery go a long way in situations like this.

However, if you refuse to be ignored, sometimes you have to be the squeaky wheel. Make sure you never get caught up and take it to the point of harassment or any other illegal/immoral tactic.
The problem is the Bureaus are a business and what they care about is the dollar, the last thing they want is people wanting errors on there file investigated,,... i've been fighting with them for 3 years, its not easy !!!

Whoa.....if they completely ignored you and never sent you the investigation results, then you should file an FTC complaint, a BBB complaint and possibly even an AG complaint.

Once you do that, re-dispute with copies of your complaints including any reference numbers. If that one doesn't get answered, you should send an ITS letter to the CRA legal dept with a list of their violations.

For disputing lates......just a simple dispute stating you were never late on that acct and to please investigate.

As far as listing the violations, there's really no form letter for that. That's one that will have to be "customized" for you.
There is the one letter that I do know of is for the "previously investigated" crap......
I will see if I can find that one and post it here later.

I did get a response from Experian , but no head way, going to give it abreak .......now Transunion sends the POI letters to stall investigaions ....... This is where i would gladly pay someone to send dispute letters.
