Default Removal of Old Addresses and Names

New to the site. Great information!!! My question is this: When trying to remove old names and addresses, should I try and remove all the names and addresses at the same time or should I do a few at a time? EX is showing 12 different addresses and 15 different name variations.

Either way is fine.I personally would dispute all of them. This does not have an impact on your score. It only helps people find where you are currently. It is not uncommon to have addresses you never lived at before.

I agree. I would dispute all of them. Addresses come off pretty easy, except for Experian.

Is it ok to request deleted names at the same time with the address delete request?

Thanks,

I had a million addresses and name variations to get deleted I did them last week and all came off of EQ and TU. EX kept the ones linked to my TL's. I also got all my inquiries deleted from EQ and am working on the 16 I have with EX. I disputed everything at once online and got them all deleted by the next day. The only thing I had to do was fax in the info like a DL and SS card for proof of identity.

That leads me to my next question. I started looking for all of my records,(birth certificate, social security card etc...) and realized that there is an error on my official birth certificate pertaining to the exact spelling of my name. My middle name is misspelled, but the name still makes sense. Can I just go and get a new social security card with my legal birth certificate name, a state issued driving license with my legal birth certificate name, and dispute everything that is associated with my name that has credit issues? The name will not match up!!!! Could this possibly be right?

Someone please advise.....

I also had a ton of name variations and addresses. I disputed all except my full legal name and current address and they were all deleted with Experian and EQ. Still waiting on TU

Please stop double posting.

I don't see any problem with doing what you mention. You can dispute names and addresses without having to do all that though. CRAs don't keep "official government records". They are private companies. If you don't want them to have a certain version of your name or whatever, dispute it.

Sorry about the double post. What I am asking is this; I have always used my middle name when applying for any kind of credit. If I dispute the name with the big 3 saying that it is "not me", along with the address dispute, any TL that is associated with the name they have on file and the address will not match my name on my (birth certificate, Social, and Drivers License). How can they verify its me? Does that make sense?

Thanks for the input!!!
