I have disputed Midland Credit with Experian but no success. Under account type it says unknown-credit extension, review ,or collection.I paid it this year. I wonder if Experian actually verified the account. If they did how could they list unknown? Should I ask to delete if they can't list type of account? I disputed Bureau of Medical Economics because they reported the account delinquent the month after I paid it. I disputed it and Experian removed the late payment. Experian now lists it as a good account but it still says collection account. Should I try and delete it Thanks Tom |

Tom, They are not necessarily saying it is unknown. They are just classifying it in the same class. It clearly states that it could be any of the 3 (unknown-credit extension, review,or collection). Well, it's a collection. Does it fit under any of those? Yes. It's a collection. Experian is the hardest to deal with. They rarely remove anything after the first dispute, but it's worth a try.
