If I sign up with a credit repair company, can they legally enroll me in credit monitoring? Or are they considered a third party? I'm just confused because they told me that I would be able to sign in and monitor my credit improvements as well as have access to my updated credit score based on those improvements. How do they know what my new score is????

Yes, in order to repair your credit (which is what you have agreed to), they have to be able to see your CRs on a regular basis. That's the only way they can do it.........by signing you up with a monitoring service. Most monitoring services will give you daily pulls so that you can see your CRs and scores. Chane can probably tell you in more detail how they work. Hopefully he will jump in here too. |

Did you give them permission to do it? I bet it's somewhere in the fine print. Are you not happy about it? It's actually a benefit, in my opinion. The inquiries are soft and pulling your own credit report won't hurt your scores. Can you tell us which company you signed up with? I would like to look into it further. Or, if you call them and talk to them about it, can you update us?
