Default late payment of credit card, how to remove from CRA

Hi folks,

I have an outstanding balance of $60 and the finance charges have accumulated over last 3-4 months and made the outstanding balance $166. I wasnt able to pay as I wasnt receiving any alerts on email. Anyways.

All the 3 CRAs have entries now saying that the credit card payment wasnt been made something like this:

Business Name: BANK OF AMERICA
Account Status: 60 Days Past Due
Status Date: 08/06/2008
Balance Amount: $00000166
Balance Date: 08/06/2008

I want to remove the -ve information from CRAs. I can pay it off immediately. Should I send the goodwill letter to Credit Card company and ask them to remove it and then I will make a payment? or do I send a letter to CRAs to validate it?

Thanks everybody

Make the payment immediately and call them and tell them your situation. Tell them you are trying to maintain good credit and ask them to remove the marks from your reports.

If they won't, dispute them with the CRAs.

Try this google the corporate off and e_mail or write the ceo or cfo and explain the problem and ask for mercy.see what happens and then dispute.
